description

A 7-day cycling tour through the Crete Senesi and Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape, surrounded by Brunello vineyards, olive groves, cypress-lined roads, castles and ancient parish churches. A journey in search of beauty and inspiration, riding the bike of your choice.

The tour begins just outside Siena, the famous city of the Palio, and leads you into rolling hills that seem to come straight out of a fairy tale. A continuous rhythm of climbs and descents where every hill reveals a new and unforgettable view.

Cypress avenues and charming villas frame the landscape along the way. As you ride further south, the scenery changes dramatically, passing through the Metalliferous Hills and climbing into the vineyards where one of Italy’s most renowned wines, Brunello di Montalcino, is produced.

At the top, the views reward every effort. Along the route you will encounter enchanting churches and historic villages before enjoying a well-deserved break in natural thermal waters once used by the Romans and later by the Medici family of Florence, all under the shadow of an imposing fortress rich in history.

From Bagno Vignoni you continue to the ideal Renaissance town of Pienza, created by a pope who was born here. The Val d’Orcia is a paradise for the eyes, and you may find it hard to leave while tasting local cheeses, regional specialties and perhaps even the prized white truffle.

Before returning to Siena, you will still have the chance to relax in the thermal baths of Rapolano, a true reward for your legs after days of unforgettable cycling.

Your hotel offers not only a large swimming pool but also an excellent dinner not to be missed.
