description

A short 4-day tour from Siena to Florence discovering the Chianti Classico region and the medieval “Manhattan” of San Gimignano. A brief journey that introduces you to the culture and landscapes of Tuscany.

The tour begins in Siena, the famous city of the Palio, where every street and corner reflects the atmosphere of its medieval horse race tradition. In three stages you will ride toward Florence, the capital of Tuscany, a city that has always had a fascinating cultural contrast with Siena.

Along the way you will cross the rolling hills of the Chianti Classico region, home of the famous Gallo Nero wines, where carefully restored villages, villas, castles and ancient parish churches create a truly unique landscape.

The spectacular skyline of San Gimignano alone is worth the journey. Wineries for tastings, traditional osterias where you can recover after a day on the bike, and olive groves offering shade for a relaxing break are just some of the highlights of this short Tuscan escape.

Illustrated map of a cycling itinerary across Tuscany connecting Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, Radda in Chianti.
